My full-time career lies in engineering, but I love to dabble in photography in my free time. I am a serious enthusiast turned casual freelance / semi-professional.
I love shooting pretty much anything, and am always up for a challenge. I love a good panoramic landscape and I’ve always had an interest in the miniature life of the world, bugs, but I don't get the macro lens out as much as I should. Of all subjects, my favourite is definitely wildlife. Hence I was in heaven in early ’08 when I ventured to Africa for an extended holiday. I have a studio setup that I use for portrait shoots; my personal preference for is for dramatic lighting and unusual concepts, visions and outfits. I love playing with light and shadows to add depth and definition to my studio work, which lead to my interest in body and form/figure work.
I am an active member of the Adelaide Camera Club, a committee member and also the web administrator. I have enjoyed success in a number of state and national competitions, but am yet to venture into the internationals.
My future goals are simply to continue to excel as a photographer, and see where it takes me. I’m always keen for new subjects and ideas.
