My name is Scott Smorra and I am an amateur photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I primarily create landscape images of the beautiful wilderness areas of North America. My goal is not to merely document nature in a photo journalistic style, but rather to capture the beauty, emotions and moods of nature. I view photography as an artistic medium and use a variety of techniques both during image capture and in Photoshop to help achieve my personal vision for each image. I hope when you view my images, you feel some of the emotions which I experience while traveling through the wilderness. I currently use Nikon digital SLR cameras and a variety of Nikkor lenses.
