Welcome to my portfolio! This account was created with the intention to share my interest in candid street photography. ‘Street photography’ implies primarily capturing interesting people interacting with their urban landscape and tracing – according to the famous quote from British Magnum photographer Martin Parr – ‘the extraordinary in the ordinary’. Roaming with the camera through the streets turned out to be the best way to raise my awareness for the hidden secrets of everyday life. What I occasionally bring home from my urban explorations are split seconds of the life’s of perfect strangers, who unconsciously create magic moments when feeling unobserved in public. The outcome of this is a collection of deeply personal memories, of places I’ve been to and things I’ve seen. Along the way an anonymous and at the same time intimate visual diary comes into existence, which hopefully appears to be composed with a respectful approach to the pictured persons.
