My name is Simon T. Vammen, born in 1987 – have been photographing most of my life by using my parents analog camera, until I got my first compact camera etc. In 2008, was the year where I bought my first dslr camera (Canon EOS 40D). Since then the passion for photography has just evolved more and more.
My picture style has always been quite wide, as I love to document what I see here and now, and also try to illustrate to others how I experienced the current situation I was in.
I love photographing sports (soccer, handball and motorsports), landscaping has also always been one of my favorites, as I love to experience with big panoramic and HDR pictures.
As my situation is now, I will of course still be experiencing with landscapes and sports, but have in the past year developed a certain interest for URBEX (Urban Exploration) Photography, and wild life, which are to things I would try to focus on in the future.
The adrenalin of going into places to explore something that has been left the way it is, and is total abandoned, is a thing I have always found interesting, but have never combined it with photography. I’m looking very much forward to se what this ends up will, as I will try to explain my observations and experiences with these URBEX tours by telling my side of the story, and try do dig up what actually happened to the places which are now abandoned.
Wild life, is for me the combination of getting in contact with the nature, in a whole different way than just by walking a trip in the forest, and the quiet and peace that is often combined with a trip away from civilization. I will try to get deeper into wild life exploration, to see and experience how wild animals act and appear among each other’s, when humans are not near, or at least when they do not know that we actually are watching them through our lenses. ☺
Hope you’ll enjoy my future pictures and stories ☺
