Started with film & a Nikon FE in the late 80"s when I was in my teens. I was lucky enough to have a great mentor (and a father who loaned me his camera) who did his best to teach me about proper exposure, depth of field, processing film, and creating prints with an enlarger - D76, Fixxer, Contact Sheets, vent booth to keep from dying from the sulfur for sepia, the whole nine yards. Then as life happened, I got out of it until a couple of years ago. I decided that it was finally time to get into the digital world. After a bunch of research, I choose a Nikon D7000. I gave the kit lens away new in the box and bought a 50mm and started to re-learn the art - still so much to learn - but it's a great ride and other than being with my family, there's nothing else that I'd rather being doing.
