I like the standard definition of photography that "it is the art of light, timing, and reality"... and also that "it mimics the eye, often giving viewers the feeling they are seeing through the photographer's eye".

To me, photography is the art of seeing things differently and with a different perspective. It brings me sheer joy of capturing a moment.

I am a translator for living. I began taking snapshots a long time ago when almost everyone had a Yashika. My first Film SLR came in 2006, sadly, it was time to bid farewell to film. Now I have a so-called entry-level Canon but I wish I had more equipment and time to explore new things and travel to far-off places, but I have been told that these are the best excuses for not having a good vision for perfect shots.

I dream of capturing vivid surreal dream-like images and haunting B&W photos. I joined this site to seek inspiration, wisdom, and learn bare facts about all those technical stuff. Over a few months, my preference has shifted to B&W street/people photography.
