I began shooting digital photography back in November 2008 and continue to learn by continually shooting while learning from my mistakes. Photography like life is a process that has no absolute pinnacle where you can just say I've made the best photograph I will ever shoot. There are peaks and valleys along the journey and you can build upon the lessons that you've learned.
Although my background is in video and television news, I really love the creativity of still photography. While digital has changed the manner of how we capture light, there is still no proof better than the print itself. I feel that something is lost peeping at pixels all day long especially after looking at an 8 x 10 shot at high ISO of a nearly six year old digital SLR on metallic paper and thinking how great it looks.
