Haydarpasa : The other side

The Hardarpaşa railway station in Kadiköy, Istanbul, is one of the most important in Eastern Europe. It’s also the busiest in the Middle East and in Turkey. Opened in 1871, it took the form we know today in 1908 with the opening of the main building, recently used in the making of Chanel N°5 commercial. It was designed by German architects Otto Ritter and Helmut Conu at the request of the Anatolian Railway. Today, under the restructuring pretext, it seems that this famous railway station will close definitely in two years to be transformed in a hotel or a mall...
