The name is Yaz Hawkins. She studied Telecommunications & Film with a minor in photography at Eastern Michigan University (It took her long time because,in her own words, "I got sidetracked". She is also trained as Technical Photographer at Washtenaw Community College. In the 90's Yaz had some of her work exhibited at The Scarab Club, in Detroit, and at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor but have done none recently. For more than fifteen year she worked as commercial photographer until 2004 went she retired from it, she is a freelance photographer now. Nature is a fountain of inspiration and strength for her photos but every day people and streets happenings have a special place in her pics too; Life in general, sore of speak, it's what drives her....and she very much likes B&W photography to speak freely and loud about what she sees must of the time. Thanks for looking.
