To me; photography is more than a passion, it's an obsession.
A Utah Photographer in love with all forms of photography, my favorite being photojournalism (consider me green). I enjoy Landscape, portrait, architectural, geometrical, street, event, low light, astro, & strobist photography (yeah, pretty much everything). I am a student at the University of Utah majoring with a BS in Mass Communications - New Media sequence. I also currently work for The Daily Utah Chronicle at the UofU and I do freelance photography work on the side.
I primarily use Lightroom 2.7 to process my photos. I have CS5 but rarely use it. For my panoramas I use Arcsoft Panorama Maker Pro. I think it still does a better job than PS, especially in regards to the vingetting and alignment. Was a huge fan of HDR from 2008-2009 which I don't really do anymore. I used Photomatix for my HDR work.
History in a very small nutshell: I first got interested in photography in 2004 when I bought a bought a Canon SD Powershot. I was hooked. I then bought a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 and started learning how to shoot with manual settings in the summer of 2006. From there, I bought a Nikon D80 in 2008 and had that for about a year when I finally made the big jump to the Nikon D700 in 2009. I started shooting in B&W film with the OM-1 that my father gifted to me in 2010. I love the look and feel of film.
I am a right brained guy stuck in a left brained world; working in the Computer Science industry with photography as my escape.
