Aaron Burdick

I grew up in Los Angeles, CA and have been photographing a variety of subjects since I was twelve years old. My photography currently concentrates on natural landscapes and travel scenes. While pursuing my degree in environmental science at UC Santa Barbara, I became enthralled and amazed by the beauty of the natural world and seek to exhibit this beauty through my photographs. I hope that my photography inspires people to connect deeper with nature and to deepen their education of our impact on the natural world.

I choose subjects in national parks, state parks, backroads, or backyards - anywhere where I can document nature's beauty in the most glorious light. I can often be found searching for serendipitous light in the deserts, coastline, and mountains of California. When not lugging around a tripod and camera, I consults on energy and climate change issues for an international consulting firm, writes music on his acoustic guitar, and daydreams about where to travel to next. In fall 2011, I am beginning a Masters Program in at Stanford University in Atmosphere/Energy studies. I am also a practitioner of Nichiren Buddhism with the SGI-USA.
