Flooded Fields

Published January 28th, 2012

A lot of flooding around the Cowichan Valley this last week in heavy rain after a good snow fall earlier. The Cowichan River was near to overflow and roads were closed. Did not stop the Geese and other birds from cashing in though on the fields in and around the Cowichan Valley and in all the marsh areas. Duncan is partially visible in the background on the last picture over a flooded Somenos Marsh, under the mountain. A logging site is also visible on the mountain side under the snow.
