Born and grown up in Brussels, Belgium, André Bosmans studied visual art and photography at La Cambre in Brussels.
He regularly takes part in photo safaris all over the world to capture pictures of the world’s most amazing wildlife in their real habitat. Having a network of friends working in nature reserves and safari parks in India and Africa, he is always informed about the latest news and arrivals within the animal families in the reserves, which helps him to plan his trips to be able to get the most amazing pictures of new born animals in the wild first hand.
His preferred tool is his 600mm lens, which allows him to keep enough distance from the animals but still capture moments of real intimacy.
Often asked about his favourite animal, André answers: "The tiger is the animal that fascinates me the most. In the Indian jungle, you never know when you'll see this beautiful animal, you can stay for a week and you don't even know they are close... and suddenly you see one for a moment, and it feels like a miracle. But that's nature... unpredictable. I love it this way! People might think I’m crazy, but having the pleasure to see those majestic animals eye to eye in the wild is a real privilege!”
