Aphroditephoto is a fine art photographer who lives and works in Switzerland. Member of the "Société Genevoise de Photographie" since 1958 and of FIAP he started in the early 70s devoting his time to the probably most difficult task in photography, the representation of the female body. The essence of his relationship to the nude is the photographic exploration of the female body and its architecture to natural specific environments, at dawn or twilight when light is at its most interesting. He likes merely to suggest, to open doors of dream, to show an impression of subtilty. His images are not so much a translation of masculine sentiments towards a woman, but more those of an artist's encounter with beautiful human forms - just seeking embellishment. The female body remains his passion as a form of aesthetic research and a way to express emotions and fantasies. His view of the nude is an eternal "homage to womanhood", drawing out the best of each model. Technically self-taught, he always works alone with amateur models who enjoy being photographed and prefers to display a soft side of eroticism. His work in B&W and colour has appeared in many magazines, books and national/international competitions and he has had several solo shows in galleries.
