Biography

About 15 years ago I decided to take a cross country drive on the way to Vegas, instead of flying. I’d seen images of the southwest; however, it wasn’t until I was face-to-face with these vistas that I realized how impossible it would be to describe these locales, let alone attempt to capture their scale, beauty and magnificence. My first glimpse of the Grand Canyon brought me to silent tears as my breath escaped me. I was immediately drawn to finding a way to capture this majesty for others to view, feel, experience.
At first, this was a personal passion, shared selectively with others. Becoming a professional photographer was like many things in life, placed it on the back burner in order to secure a career. After 25 years working in the broadcasting & new-media industry, I decided to change my tactic. Instead of working to make someone else successful, I decided to work for myself. I embraced my love of photography and, utilizing my 20+ years of experience as a visual communicator, I endeavor to share with others my unique perspective of this stunning world in which we live. I have photographed images in Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Canada, The Islands of Hawaii & forty-six other states. My most profound inspiration still comes from the Desert Southwest & the Colorado Plateau.
