Now this is the section I hate most amongst the things I love. And what I really love is taking pictures. Photography is more than my passion and I’m guessing you’ve figured that out by now.
If you like my pictures, sign my guestbook, tell your friends about me and if you want to discuss a project, get in touch with me by commenting on this page or grabbing my contact details from the contact me page. Now, getting down to discussing "me", I’m essentially an IT geek who shut down his company to plunge into travel and photography. I've been perennially fascinated with Rome and plan on living there for a bit. But Rome can’t happen now. Sigh. You see, I got distracted by Machu Picchu (That’s right. I swoon over mountains too) in between, and enrolled for Spanish classes. So Peru might be my next stop. After which, I will exchange my boy racer for a SUV and drive her to Ladakh. And then, I will live in Rome, get fat on spaghetti and meatballs and hit our very own Auroville for some peace of mind and spiritual enlightenment.
Yeah right. Me and Auroville? Nah! Spiritual enlightenment, perhaps. But I prefer the Mcleodganj variety, if you get my drift. It’s ok if you don’t. I plan on doing all that and more, yes. But I just may decide to give it all up and open a coffee shop in some nameless corner in Brazil, maybe? Or decide to dedicate my life to bar-tending. Or live with aboriginals and learn to make boomerangs. The point is, I don’t know. I could never tell. The only thing I do know, is that I’ll be taking plenty of pictures throughout this time.
And unless you’re a pompous, pretentious, art-collecting type who prefers coughing up big bucks for big names, you might want to place your orders for any pictures you like, before I get the attention of National Geographic, BBC and the likes.
If you’ve read so far, you need to straighten up, adjust your tie and get back to your earth-shatteringly important, corporate job. While I go make myself some cold coffee. Blended with ice-cream, crushed cookies, and a dash of Bailey’s. Topped with whipped cream and Hershey’s. And plan my next driving holiday.
My pictures are available for purchase on www.avinashpetersphotography.com.
