Barend Houtsmuller

Barend Houtsmuller is a well known Dutch photographer. in 1978 Barend received a scholarship form the Prince Bernhard Foundation to study photography at the International Center of Photography (NYC). His masters were Ansel Adams, Nathan Lions, Duane Michals and Christian Vogt.
In 1980 he returned to the Netherlands and with 11 photographers, he founded Perspektief, gallery & magazine in Rotterdam.
Besides various individuals, his work has been acquired by the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, The International Polariod Collection (USA) and the National Library in Paris. Barend works and lives in the Netherlands
