What I do for my personal work is "conceptual" photography. I'm currently working on a series that is based on elements of my life. The models I use are the characters of representing real people in the story of my life. My inspirations are Todd Hido, Garry Winogrand, and William Eggleston. The most challenging and fascinating thing about photography is the mystery of it. I design the best photos I can come up with but the narrative is devoid from the photograph itself. After All, photographs are not words, they are beyond words. I leave the narrative up to the viewer with the specific space and time that my photograph describes. I mostly use the available light in my portraits and nudes to set in the "realism" of the scene. I change locations in order to change the feel and lighting of the scene that I'm creating. My photography is close to a still from a movie, that is the idea I have in mind when I create my work. I do commercial work as well, mostly concerts at this time as I have examples of in my portfolio. I am open to other commercial work as well and if you are interested, please contact me.
