Bent Perspective Images is a collection based on using the eye's physiology to 'trick' observers into looking closely at something they might otherwise walk straight past. The human eye is able to use up to 60% of the brain's energy - at full focus - so (wisely) the brain switches our eyes off most of the time, into 'pattern recognition' mode. We don't really LOOK at things. All of Simon's images alter the conventional horizontal/vertical axes - which means the brain can't 'recognise' what it is seeing - and switches the eyes ON as a result! By this small deception, the true beauty of otherwise everyday scenes is revealed.. Enjoy! :)
