What's New from 500px HQ: New Portfolio Theme and Welcome, Adam!

New Portfolio Theme: Space II

Now all of you Awesome account users have yet another way to show off your beautiful photos—we've launched a new thumbnail-based portfolio theme called Space II (preview an example here). You can check it out on your Portfolio Themes page now, but keep an eye out for even more improvements and features to the theme over the course of the week. If Space II isn't quite your thing, don't worry! Your options are ever expanding. We have another theme in the works and will be releasing that in the next couple of days.

Welcome, Adam!

The 500px team welcomes Adam Shutsa as its Lead Designer. You can contact him via Google+ or adam@500px.com.

Evgeny wasn't quite done fooling around with his iPhone, so here are more pictures of the team. We love Mondays!

Andrey! Are those fancy new headphones?

Ruslan, Systems Architect caught in his natural element.

Oleg is in deep conversation with someone. A probably important someone.

Arseniy has a crisis, I think. But don't worry, he recovers quickly.

Me, writing this post. How meta.

Hope your week's getting off to a good start!

Hey Kris, my Macbook cover is by Gelaskins. You can order a custom one with your photography on their site: http://www.gelaskins.com/

Off-topic, but I'd love to know more about the Macbook 'photo-cover' in the last photo. How can you do this? Thanks! :)

Many thanks. I thought about changing my name to something shorter, but its probably easier just to wait for your fix. :-)

If you did make a theme that had the categories as thumbnails on the homepage, that would probably be my selection for life!

Jimmy, that makes sense!

With regards to the glitch — it is because the title is too long. I'll make a change to accomodate longer titles like yours :)

Also it would be Awesome (excuse the pun!) if the thumbnails on the home page were the categories as apposed to pictures from the first album. Hope that makes sense?

Hi I love the new theme but I too am getting a glitchy layout issue when viewing my site in both Safari and on my iPad. the title of my site seems to be hanging below the top bar and one random picture seems to place itself at the top of my page. My site is at: www.jimmydickinson.co.uk

can we also have the ability to turn off (not show) image titles/captions; be able to set the size on our images; and adjust how the images show in the square thumbnails (for direct uploads)... all within the portfolios settings?

love all the hard work... thanks!

Like the new theme a lot but there seems to be a bug. When the image is loading from a clicked thumbnail, the text, "manage your portfolio" appears for a half a second to the upper left of the loading image. That's viewed in Chrome, looks fine in Firefox.
