Whale Nation

Published by Diana Tula · June 27th 2013

From space, the planet is blue. From space the planet is the territory not of humans but of the whales, a “Whale Nation”. Every year up to 2,000 animals beach themselves, stranded ashore most of them die from dehydration. The most frequently involved animals are whales. This short video trailer by Javier Delgado Esteban shows such a whale stranded. Let’s help the whale nation together. If you’d like to help out the whales please spread awareness of beached animals.

We think that photographers make great videographers and so we love sharing videos by 500px members with you. Last time we featured Transformers 3 behind the scenes. For more videos browse the blog and let us know if you’d like to be featured, email blog@500px.com or leave a comment below, thanks.

I created a timelapse of a local fair at night that placed 4th in Intel's Momentary Lapse Contest. The video can be seen here.
