I have been taking photos since I was 14 years old, purely for record shots on black and white film, colour, and now digital. I took photography more serious from 2008, after taking photos of friends who play sport, mostly football and stoolball.
I who sets a too higher standard for myself soon discovered that in order to take good quality images of a fast moving sport needed better, faster equipment so the upgrade process started, upgrading became an expensive business, so as part of my self discipline I made some ground rules for myself, mainly to anticipate in all walks of photography, soon discovering how addictive it can become.
Of all the styles of photography I prefer candid's, street photography, quick seen scenes that have to be captured at that moment. I do enjoy the relaxation though of architecture, lazy, just seeing buildings, getting the verticals upright, lines horizontal and all the time in the world to get it right.
I have met many new friends in photography over the past few years, and with the aid of POTN forums, meeting people on POTN trips, joining the Brighton & Hove Camera Club giving me a slight competitive edge, and inspiration, a great source of information and ideas.
