No prep and out the door.....

Published February 9th, 2013

It seams to happen this way more then not. Looking out the window with a bulletproof coffee in my hand judging which way the sunrise is going to turn. Looking last morning, it was going to turn big! It was 7:40, I knew I had less then 20 min till it broke the horizon. A rush to throw on thermal layers, and toss the camera and lenses in a bag. I was out the door in 5 min, and still haven't decided on a location to shoot it from. There was no time to make it to any planned locations. Wait the municipal airport! Yes, thats it, it will give a large unobscured view. Let's do it. It's only 10 min away, even in rush hour. I bolted and arrived minutes before it broke. It was worth every minute and frozen digit.

Hope you enjoy
