TWiT Photo Host and Pro Photographer Catherine Hall approaches her work with a fine-arts sensibility, technical mastery, and cultivated creativity. She possesses a cosmopolitan eye and joyous spirit, bringing intelligence and sincerity to her craft. A bi-coastal professional, she divides her time between New York and San Francisco. Throughout the year, she is commissioned as an Editorial Director and Lead Photographer for diverse clientele, including John Deere, Reuters, Credit-Suisse, and News Corp. Catherine’s editorial photography appears in print publications, such as The New York Times, Sydney Morning Herald, and National Geographic Traveler. An international photography-competition judge and lecturer, Catherine’s sponsors include Apple, Epson, and Adobe. She regularly speaks at top photography trade schools and conferences, such as WPPI, PDN PhotoPlus, Macworld and PPA Affiliates. An adventure-driven photographer, Catherine’s projects have taken her to 30 countries in five continents. Some of her most-treasured cultural experiences include shoots in India, Tasmania, Hungary, and Brazil. As a result of her travels, her fine-arts work is exhibited worldwide, including galleries in France, Italy, San Francisco, and New York City. She attended Oxford University, also graduating Summa Cum Laude and first in her class in the Applied Art and Design Department at Cal Poly, SLO.

TWiT Photo: Guest Quest

The premier photo show in the industry—TWiT Photo— is looking to showcase the hottest emerging photographer. TWiT Photo is the flagship photography show on the TWiT Netcast Network, which averages 5 million downloads per month. This contest will provide explosive exposure to our selected guest.

You will have the rare opportunity to get your work in front of a prestigious judging panel made up of our past TWiT Photo guests, including Art Wolfe, Colby Brown, Tamara Lackey, Frank Doorhof and Zack Arias. Simply submit a portfolio of images based on a cohesive body of work that is a strong representation of your visual style.


1) Prepare 15-20 (15 minimum / 20 maximum) images and upload them according to the instructions on “How to Submit”

2) Write a one to two-sentence caption for each individual image.
