Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales

Published August 2nd, 2012

Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales is the tallest waterfall in England and Wales. The single car road from the town up to the waterfall where there is a cafe and car park. There is no local bus up to the waterfall and have walk from the town to the waterfall about 7 miles. Beautiful waterfall surrounded by the mountains and forest of trees. It give the place a peaceful and serenity feeling and there isn't a lot of tourists or local around this waterfall.

Hi there - Gary's sister, Deborah here. I just found this link on Gary's facebook and came by to investigate. It is amazing to think my Grandmother may have come here as a young girl. Wish I could have got to know her better; I was too young to appreciate and want to understand where she came from before she died. Thanks for sharing this absolutely gorgeous photo's!

Thanks Gary and hope you enjoy it. I bet your grandmother Gertude missed it when she move to Canada but Canada got more beautiful scenic view than England and Wales.

Wow...I can't believe I am actually seeing what my grandmother Gertude Williams/Champagne probably visted many times in her life. She was from Wales and immigrated to Canada as a young girl. Great pics...thank you.
