Chiara Parodi

Emergent italian photographer and videomaker, graduated in English Literature Arts and History in France, I recently moved from my hometown Sanremo to Milan in order to follow and develop my passion for photography and video. I take all my pictures with my loving old Nikon D90, that i succedded to buy with all my savings during my high school. I found my passion in a station of the metro. Not in Paris, like many writers, but in Barcelona, land of colours. In the world everything is constantly in a flux of changing: life is a wave. Moments, sighs, smiles, shouts, tears, looks, meetings. In one single instant everything is going to change. Green becomes red, the trees make friendship becoming brown, while the blue falls in love with the sky. And all has his dark side. Black. Still present behind the clouds. That's reality. It's something spectacular, something incredible, something horrible. The only possibility is to look at this with an unknown sense of admiration that comes from inside. I want to try to record a number as large as possible of lives. And here, everything could be alive. It's only a question of perspectives. I'm not a photographer yet, but photography is what i want to do in my life. It's something that makes me feel alive, perhaps because is the closest thing to life that I found. I really want to launch myself in this life with all my energies, the same that I want to put in photography. I'm wondered. And then, reflecting on this: which place is better than a station of the metro to find your road?
