Chris’s passion for the natural world begun at an early age. It wasn’t until his mid teens however that his love of nature and photography linked to form an unbreakable bond.
During his ‘A’ level studies, he learnt to ‘see’ the world from a photographic viewpoint, recognising pattern, shape and texture in nature and providing subtle lighting for his subjects. It was during this time that Chris achieved his greatest achievement yet when he was accepted by RSPB - Images to market his work into the commercial marketplace.
Now aged 23 and based in central Essex, he is currently working hard on increasing his personal library with images of varying styles, from evocative moody scenes to stunning floral portraits showing razor sharp detail.
Chris enjoys travelling to remote areas of the UK in search of rarer species including trips to the Cairngorms, South west Scotland and Dartmoor and the surrounding area.
Most of his best work however is produced in his local area, often within a 20 mile radius of his home. This means that he can concentrate on long term projects where much of his most evocative and unique imagery is achieved.
Chris prides himself on his patience and determination as he is working hard at establishing himself as one of the most promising young nature photographers today.
If you have any questions regarding his work, whether it be a question on technique, or a commercial venture you would like his input on, Chris would like to hear from you
