Chris Buff

Husband, Father, Photographer / Owner of Aviationbuff Photography. Aviation Enthusiast I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska during the 1960’s and fondly recall watching Starfighters, Phantoms and Super Sabres thunder over my back yard. This fascination with flight has never waned. I fulfilled a personal goal when I received my private pilot license in 1985. I experienced the thrill and satisfaction of accumulating flight time in the Piper Tomahawk, Warrior II and Archer II as well as simulated air combat hours with Atlanta’s Sky Warriors in a Beech T-34A Mentor. My interest in aviation has evolved into a passion for aviation photography. I have been photographing aircraft, along with the people who fly and maintain them, for more than 25 years and have compiled a large archive of unique and interesting photos. While most of my work for hire tends to be color action images, I also love creating black & white fine-art photos. Today I am a professional photographer, specializing in aviation photography, but also shooting sports, event and fine-art images and a regular contributor to the magazine World Airshow News. www.airshowmag.com. In addition to print and electronic media sales, I am available for custom photo sessions. Thanks again for visiting my 500px page. Thanks for your kind words and support!

On this Thanksgiving day, I just want to say thank you for all of your kind words and support. I also appreciate the critiques and suggestions. While the 2012 US Airshow season has come to a close, I still have hundreds of photos to review from the various events that I photographed this year. I will work hard to improve my images and try to post photographs that are are interesting, tell a story and do the subject justice. Best wishes to you and your family!
