Craig Douglas Gephart
I am a self-taught photographer from south central Pennsylvania specializing in wildlife, landscape and travel photography. I have been finding my way behind the lens since the fall of 2009, when I purchased my first DSLR, a Nikon D90 with an 18-105mm kit lens. I love being outdoors with my camera and taking on the challenge and thrill of getting a great shot (one time I went so far as to stand waiting 3 hours for a bald eagle to take flight).
My work has been highlighted on visitPA.com's Flickr photo stream, a Pennsylvania travel magazine, and a forthcoming calendar. I entered my first photo competition, the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership's "Treasured Towns and Landscapes" photo contest, in early 2011, where my photo, Harrisburg Celebration, was awarded the Grand Prize and was featured in a traveling gallery throughout the Susquehanna River valley region.
My photography travels have taken me throughout much of the eastern USA. In the future I hope to cover more of the USA and beyond as opportunities arise (I am available for contract work!). I reside near Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with my wife, Lynda, our sons, Ryan and Corey, and the family dog, Marty.
