Switching to Lightroom

Published August 7th, 2012

After years of using Aperture, I am now switching to Lightroom. Partly because I get it free through the adobe creative cloud subscription, but also because the creative control and file organisation kills. Itmeans the prospect of a fully organised non app specific photo collection is now a potential dream. Also the creative opportunities within Lightroom are easier to grasp, as the processing on these two flower shots show, the noise and clarity tools area amazing in Lightroom, check it out if you haven't already.

Is there a Lightroom plug-in for uploading photos directly from Lightroom to 500px?

I tried to use the lightroom but I can't download my photos into it so I am stuck with this without any help.

I have it as well, but I haven't gotten into actually using it. After looking at these images, I think I may do so. Just trying to figure out how to fit it into my hdr workflow.
