Daniel Colvin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Motion Picture and Television in 1985. He worked for the next ten years in the film industry traveling the world as the Director of Photography. Daniel’s work received the Silver Bear Award for Cinematography at the Berlin International Film Festival for My Place in 1983, and the CINE Golden Eagle Award for the Spirit of a People documentary in 1994.
Daniel’s fine art has earned critical acclaim in solo and curated shows in galleries and juried competitions. This donated work of art was created by Daniel Colvin’s innovative painting, photography and collage techniques combining his original creations into a unique, compelling finished piece. Daniels Recent work includes mix media sculpture of Glass, Stone and Wood.
Daniel’s works earned the Director’s Choice award in New York competition juried by Director of the Guggenheim.
Active in the arts community, Daniel shares his works and expertise to inspire local, state-wide and international arts contributions. He is on the Board of the Washington State Arts Alliance, and the Digital Artists Guild
