I don’t view the common world as most normally would. I try to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, always adding a new spin. I don’t go on extravagant trips around the globe, nor do I have fancy studios. I photograph the common we all run into on a daily basis, but I always try to find a twist.
I bought my first camera when I was 13 years old (9 years ago) and have been addicted ever since. I have photographed everything from granules of salt to the Grand Canyon. My passion, however, lies with photographing elements of design that emphasize colors, geometric shapes, unique perspectives, and abstract thinking without being too abstract. Ideas are always churning, and at times, my mind will become a complex web of photographic madness!
I still have so much to learn in the world of photography, but the only way I can learn more is by expanding myself outside my comfort zone. I feel that the best photographers are the ones that keep evolving and keep reinventing themselves, without shooting the same subjects in the same places with the same techniques.
Even though photography has become a true love of mine, it is not my career. I work full-time in healthcare and enjoy it as well. Perhaps if enough people enjoy my work and spread the word, maybe someday my career will solely become photography!
