Daniel Marchand

My interest in photography really began by experimenting black and white film photography in using a Kodak Brownie 620 box camera given by one of my aunts at the age of 11.During my high school days I did specialized photographic courses and I started to do photo contracts at that time. After several years of freelance work I have been hired as a in-house photographer for the Quebec Sport Federations located at the Montreal Olympic stadium. At the same time I have worked as an auto sports photographer for different Canadian specialized magazines such as Formula magazine, Pole Position and Le Monde de l'Auto. Today I enjoy a semi professional retirement from the everyday job that allows me to produce freely different photo projects.

I think one of the most important quality required to succeed in life and in photography is to be persistent. You have to believe on your ability and invest on yourself. Don't wait to the signal from the others just do it and follow your intuition.
