photography comes from seeing; and 'seeing' is more than looking. it’s about light; about emotion; about composition; and most of all about interpretation of ones observed reality.
i see before I raise my camera to my eye; what i create comes from what i see.
i don’t ‘take’ pictures; taking is a violent process. it implies a one-way relationship; taking is mostly destructive.
instead, through a partnership with my context and subject, i interpret and re-create what i see using my camera and through my creative post-production process.
the photographic works of art that come out of that process are more than snapshots of a moment in time; they are an interpretations through my creative process– through what and how i see.
i’m daniel soule.
who are you?
I love the beauty our natural world presents with a side of post-apocalyptica that sometimes reflects the mood and times in which we live.
Oh, I love music and musicians too.
I'm a husband and father first and a friend to those who know me and have chosen to stick around :-)
