Photography, a passion that started a long time ago for Daniel Tremblay. He first started at the film age back in the 80’s with a camera that was given to him by his father. His first career choice wasn’t photography though. He studied car mechanics and was a car mechanic for over 15 years. He had his own business with his father, a family business that was built on honesty. Of the many qualities required to be a good car mechanic, sense of observation is of the most importance.
Sometimes, life gives a lesson...and that is exactly what happened for Daniel when his father, and very good friend and business partner, died from a very aggressive cancer just a few weeks before retirement. Daniel then realized that life isn’t supposed to be all about working every day, 52 weeks a year to get a pay check and die before retirement. A change was needed, he decided to do something he always loved; photography.
Daniel decided to get his sense of observation to a different level and decided to go back to school to study photography and he graduated in 2013. Even then, many of his images were recognized and awarded in local and national photography contests. He also had one of his images make it as a finalist of the prestigious International Landscape Photographer of the Year Award contest.
He is working as a full time professional commercial photographer and retoucher in Montreal and at every opportunity he has, he’s doing Landscape Photography. He is also building his Fine Art Landscape and Panoramic photography business. Every print will be sold as a limited edition print with certificate of authenticity. Every print will be on an acrylic medium.
Daniel is now doing what he loves as a day job and that way, he doesn’t feel like he’s « working » anymore but instead living his passion on a daily basis in the quest of showing the True Beauty of Light and Shadows in his images.
