Dave is an internationally published photojournalist, writer, and producer based in Medford, New Jersey, USA. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Drexel University.
While riding along with Rescue Co. 1 in Camden, NJ in 2011, Dave came up with the idea for a video series following firefighters through the calls. The series, &amp;amp;ldquo;Into the Smoke&amp;amp;rdquo; has been viewed 1 million times.
While attending Drexel, he started his photojournalism career, eventually becoming the Photo Editor of The Triangle, Drexel University&amp;amp;rsquo;s Student Newspaper during his sophomore year. While at The Triangle, he covered a variety of events from photographing President Obama at the White House, celebrities for movie releases and other events in Philadelphia, PA. In 2016, Dave was named as one of Drexel University&amp;amp;rsquo;s, 40 Under 40.
He apprenticed under Central Record photographer, Dave Borrelli, and eventually became a stringer for the paper in 2007. Starting in 2016, Dave started working as a Freelance Photojournalist for Gatehouse Media, (The Burlington County Times, Bucks County Courier Times and the Intelligencer). Dave shoots stills and video for news, features, and sports. He also recently started writing news stories.
In 2017, Dave was contacted by the Executive Producers of the Network Ten and Discovery Science Series: &amp;amp;ldquo;BodyHack&amp;amp;rdquo; to work as a Consulting Producer. The EP&amp;amp;rsquo;s wanted the show&amp;amp;rsquo;s host, Todd Sampson, to enter a house fire in the United States. Not only did Dave meet their goal, Todd ended up riding with the fire department to 4 house fires in Maryland, entered a training facility in Virginia, and went inside an acquired structure burn in Tennessee.
Dave was a dedicated member of the Medford Township Department of Fire and EMS, joining as a Junior Firefighter in June 2000. He held the ranks of Captain and Lieutenant before sustaining a career ending injury in April 2015.
