David Cucalón

I started in this photograph about 2007, although he had lived since childhood between cameras, reels and flashes.

The first time I went with a camera to something concrete was to see the anniversary of 75 years of Formula 1 in Montjuïc (Barcelona, Spain), presented me with a modest compact, it just might capture a sharp car at all. The idea of being able to capture something that may never see me fascinated, and decided to take this photography more seriously.

I purchased my first SLR, and started unpretentious, working in automatic mode. Then came the semi until gradually I have been working in manual mode.

I like many styles of photography, like macro, still life, street photography, etc.. The picture has also been a good excuse to attach it to another passion: motor racing. Thanks to having a great circuit as near the Circuit de Catalunya, I was able to witness and capture as Formula 1 cars, Le Mans, DTM, etc..
