I am a photographer for many years. I began with a Kodak Brownie camera. I had a Polaroid. I had a black and white film Pentax camera in NYC my original home. I began darkroom printing there with my ex husband and it was in our kitchen. When I came to San Francisco I went to City College and to their darkroom and was there a few years printing and developing until 2007.
My first digital camera was Casio Exlim.
My second was Canon 30D
I briefly had a Pentax which I lost in the SFO sadly as I was leaving for a month in Venice.
I recently bought Panasonic Lumix LX7
I have a few film cameras...
I miss the darkroom and not the chemicals.
I have a great eye for photography for catching "that special moment"
I tend to make photographs in series - like those of the SF chinese community.
I am a great great art lover and I think that contributes to my photography.
My ultimate favorite photographer is Henri Cartier Bresson and then it is Garry Winogrand and Lee Friedlander and William Eggleston. I was blown away by the photography of Rose Mandel at our DeYoung Museum. Locally in North Beach San Francisco Dennis Hearne is a great photographer.
I aspire to be a great photographer
