Elda Fallas are a festival held annually in the Spanish town of Elda. Her celebration takes place the second week of September, and consist of the plant and subsequent burning of artistic monuments of wood and cardboard. The monuments usually consist of a high central wooden structure, and are focused on a theme. They are full of ninots, small cardboard dolls and polyurethane, which refer to places, events and people in the news, to which accompany them posters with a satirical criticism in mood and tone of protest.
