In short: a student who is addicted to following the news and loves photography.
My name is Dirk-Heine Hofstede and I have been enthousiastic about photography since the moment I knew the thing my mother was holding on vacations was a camera. As soon as I had the money, I bought a Canon PoweShot A530 and started taking photos with it. A few year ago, I decided I needed a better camera to get more out of my photographs and since I have bought my first D-SLR, I have done a lot with photography: Besides the endless amounts of pictures I have taken on vacations, I have photographed school parties, the birthday party of a teacher and congresses.
In June 2011, I got my Dutch VWO diploma at the Stedelijk Gymnasium in Leeuwarden and started with studying history at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In January, I quit this and now I am waiting until September, when I start with both Philosophy and Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam. Throughout my life I have changed many times the course I had set out for my future, but photography has always stayed.
