Started shooting in mid-teens with Minolta 7 rangefinder, but by 1973 had a Nikkormat FTN and Nikkor 50mm F1.8 lens.
Nikon cameras were my path (Nikkormat ELW, F3, F5). In my early days I developed film and printed colour, but a growing family had me focused just on taking/enjoying slides. That was until I bought my first scanner - the first Nikon 35mm scanner in 1995.
All of those first scans are gone now as I reworked them all with a COOLSCAN 9000ED (fantastic quality).
I dabbled in digital with a Sony Dimage S304 which soon led to the Nikon D70. Frankly I was not enthused with the colour rendition and overall experience.
In 2009 moved to the Canon 5D was the only option. How the world of digital imaging change since the Nikon D70!
In 2012 I started shooting with a Sony NEX 5N mostly with vintage lenses via adapters. I have now changed to all Sony equipment including full frame A7 camera bodies, but retain the Nex 5N because it works with difficult old lens designs such as Zeiss Biogon wide angles.
