DOBOgraphy by David Dobrzynski
Photographer, Videographer, Imagemaker, Storyteller, Environmental Advocate
My goal in life is to find the extraordinary in seemingly ordinary settings. It's all a matter of perspective. I hope you enjoy mine!
I have been fascinated with photography for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was intrigued with the pictures I saw in magazines such as National Geographic, LIFE and LOOK. I imagined myself traveling to exotic places and telling stories with pictures on film.
I received my first camera, an Olympus OM-1, as a gift from my parents shortly after graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The camera marked my official foray into the world of photography.
After working for many years in the athletic footwear and apparel industry, I found photography and videography to be an outlet for my untapped creative energy. I discovered digital photography back in 1995 and have been fascinated with the potential it offers photographers ever since. I now shoot exclusively with digital cameras and have developed a comprehensive portfolio of images that capture subjects about which I am most passionate.
Today I am a full-time photographer whose ever expanding portfolio includes images of interesting people, wildlife, nature, landscapes, architecture, urban exploration, fine art, live music performances, community events, corporate communications, non-profit organization efforts and much more.
I am an avid outdoorsman and environmental advocate and take my cameras with me at all times, regardless of whether I plan to shoot. Some of my best captures are unplanned and totally spontaneous.
I'm a native of upstate New York, a long time resident of New England and have spent a number of years living and working in Washington DC, Far East Asia, the Pacific Northwest, Virginia and Kentucky. I have traveled extensively around the world, 40 countries at last count. I now spend my days exploring the Mid-West, Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast regions of the United States capturing the beauty and diversity of these areas.
I sell my images in a variety of formats and am available for commissioned work as well.
I use the power of photography ...to witness ...to prove ...to relate ...to reveal ...to celebrate
