Doug Chinnery

I am a photographer based in the UK working with both film and digital cameras. I specialise in creative landscape photography and especially enjoy experimenting with new and artistic techniques.

I recently had an image commended and placed as a ‘Judges Choice’ in the Internationally renowned “Landscape Photographer of the Year 2010” competition. My image appears in the AA Publications Book which accompanies the competition and was exhibited at the prestigious National Theatre in London over the winter of 2010/11.

My first solo exhibition entitled ‘Time Passing’ was at ‘The Image Gallery’, Patchings Art Centre near Calverton, Nottinghamshire for five weeks in the spring of 2011

Represented by Getty and Fotoviva Art Prints as well as the Pacific Arts Group in the USA among others, my images are owned by individuals and companies world-wide. My customers include The National Trust for Scotland, Nike Europe, Arla, Yahoo!, AMV BBDO, MeepMeep Creative, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sony Entertainment, W H Smith, the NHS, Disney Publications and The Woodland Trust. I also licenses images to Joe Cornish and they feature in his greetings card range.

I have lectured on photography at Leeds College of Art to Photography BA Degree students.

I continue to feature on BBC Radio regularly, discussing photography and my images and articles have been published in magazines such as Amateur Photographer, Outdoor Photography, Photography Monthly, Digital SLR User & Digiphoto Pro. My images have also featured in ITV’s ’60 Minute Makeover’ Programme. I was shortlisted for Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2009, 2010 & 2011.

I believe in sharing knowledge and as such devote much time to teaching workshops, podcasting and blogging.

I am available for commissions, public speaking and writing. Prints of my images are available to buy. I also licenses images for sale as prints, canvases, calendars, greetings cards and so on and would welcome contact with manufacturers.
