Eddie Z. Belen, a self-made, self-taught artist, is an award-winning photographer whose aesthetic vision personifies him as a true, dedicated and accomplished artist. The imagery he creates, whether based on existing or real subjects or deliberately created or born out of his camera, conceptualized or re-arranged, becomes a masterpiece that instantly deserves recognition. Such is the power and breadth of his visual ability, his artistic grasp beyond the ordinary to transform any subject, no matter how common, into something more interesting, beautiful -- and with new dimensions not otherwise seen before.
Not to be outdone in digital technology, Eddie, the innovator, took further steps to create a new look in his works as he plunged himself into the realms of pixel imaging.
His unconventional process of creating images opened new doors to explore the boundless limits of photography as he combines both art and technology with relative ease and agility -- with truly an inner eye for what uplifts the artistic soul.
Eddie is a professional graphic designer, cartoonist, calligrapher and spends his free time doing fine art photography. A New Yorker and past president of SINAG/The American Society of Philippine Photographers, Inc. with members from the Tri-State area, he had exhibited his fine photographs with SINAG members at The Gallery of the Philippine Center as well as with members of the Cosmopolitan Camera Club of New York.
