Cataloging and finding old files

Published October 1st, 2011

It is always nice to get organized. Thanks to a speedy thunderbolt drive I am starting to get a better handle on all of my image files. The other nice thing about organizing.. is rediscovering old images you had taken and applying new knowledge and skills you have gained since then to post process. Posted a few shots tonight from what we were shooting around San Fran. Hope you enjoy.

Making our way to the Rock. It was a foggy and cold day that day... seems just about right.

Love the 'High Key' effect and the fact that you've left in a bunch of sky. Where others might say different, I think it was a good choice to include that much white space. In the print industry (specifically newspaper and advertisement layout) we tend to follow the rule or train of thought that "white space is our friend". This gives the rest of the subject enough room to breath and get noticed.
As you mentioned you have done some post processing to this photo. The only thing I would have done differently was to clone out that eyesore of a sign aonf the shore. Seeing as you were no doubt in Photoshop anyway.
Nice work.
