The time was 02:30 a.m. and the thunderstorm outside was making the ground shake. You could truly feel every thunder resonating in your chest. Everyone else in the house was asleep, and I was up reading articles online. I was about to go to bed when I decided that since it was a Saturday, I could afford to go out in an attempt to get a good shot of the storm and sleep-in a little in the morning.
Deciding to go outside took by far longer than getting ready to actually leave. Once the decision was made, like a quick-change artist I put on my gumboots, beanie, sweatshirt, raincoat, and took my umbrella, camera, tripod and out I went. While getting ready, even my border collie was looking at me with confusion- why on earth was I getting ready to go outside; at this point, he had a fair point.
