Erin FitzGibbon is an experienced portrait, sport and fine art photographer. She serves the Orangeville and Saugeen Shores areas of Ontario Canada.
She began taking photographs shortly after the death of her third son Rory. She was heartbroken and struggled to find direction in her life. She wanted to take photos of her other children not wanting to miss a moment and discovered that photography gave her a creative outlet for the expression of her grief.
She is a self taught photographer. She learned to hone her craft by reading magazine articles and participating in photo club outings. By participating in online photography courses she immersed herself in the art of photography and found a new passion and direction for life.
After years of practice Erin has become a recognized photographer. She photographs local Orangeville sports teams, many of her images appear on organization websites. She participates in the Orangeville Art Group and displays her fine art at Headwater's Hospital. She is a permanent member of the Southampton Art Centre and Beaux-Arts Brampton. Erin also had the distinction of having one of her photographs chosen for a special edition publication for Canadian Geographic.
Erin uses artistic elements like colour, lighting, and lines to create unique and
dynamic images that everyone notices. She is a strong believer in making the image perfect in camera and rarely utilizes Photoshop to correct or enhance images. The images are pure, simple and memorable.
