Erin Langford is a Sydney based Photographer, Photo-Retoucher and Photographic Researcher.
She is currently employed by Pacific Magazines primarily as Photographer Researcher.
Erin Langford has a Bachelor of Photography in Photojournalism from the World Renown Institute Queensland College of Art. Here Erin trained in traditional photo making techniques as well as digital form.
Whilst studying, her work Shades of Grace (A day in the Life piece, that documented Principle Ballerina Rachael Walsh over the period where Queensland Ballet Company created a new Ballet) appeared on solo Exhibit at the Queensland Performing Arts Center. Her documentary work from Australia's Inaugural Dreaming Festival also appeared on Exhibit at the Brisbane Convention Center as part of Brisbane's Multicultural Festival. Also Erin's graduating body of work A Fine Balance (a documentary piece that followed the World's first professional Ballerina with Cystic Fibrosis) was published in the Inaugural issue of Teen Vogue Australia. (2002-2006)
Upon Graduation Erin moved into Product Photography and Advertising thus getting her first taste of Shooting Fashion. (2006-2008)
In 2008 Erin traveled to the United States of America and created a documentary all about the grass roots campaigners in the US Election. Her story Yes We Can that followed a group of University Students from UCLA that used their weekends to travel to Nevada in order to convince people of the State to vote for Barack Obama - they among many other Volunteers were successful. The documentary was picked up by the Online Publication The Australian Photojournalist. (2008)
Erin now lives in Sydney where she can combine her love of fashion and documentary. Her Fashion Behind The Scenes Stills for Harpers Bazaar have been published across several devoted pages as well as online.
Erin works on That's Life Magazine where she gains Editorial know how and in her spare time photographs Film Stills for Short Films.
