Charlie is 8 months old this week, how the hell has it been 8 months already!
Watching him growing up has been amazing, and he is developing all the time. I’ve wanted to do my own little project for a while but I’ve never had the time to plan a project 50 or the variety for a 365, so I’ve decided to do what I’m calling ‘Charlie x 52′, this is going to be a 52 photo project, so a new photo every week of Charlie using only the Samyang 85mm 1.4 which is one my sharpest and smoothest lenses (it’s just a tad close on a crop sensor).
Hopefully I can get a good variety of shots of little Charlie aswell as consistently document his growth over the next 52 weeks.

During a recent family trip to the Isle of Wight, I took a selection of landscape and street photographs using VSCOcam for the iPhone. I’m still really enjoying using this app as it allows me to grab quick images when I haven’t got the chance to use my proper camera. It was good to get a break from the usual Cotswold photography and get some photographs in a new setting. I’m really pleased with the variety of images I collected, just makes me wish I had a better second camera for the street photography element.
