On October 21st I had the pleasure to enjoy a workshop organized by Raymond Barlow at the Mountsberg Raptor Center. Located about 1 hrs west of Toronto, the Center is a place where they rehabilitate, breed, train injured raptors.
The workshops helps pay for the food and care for the birds. Its a wonderful experience and these captive birds are incredible models. The day was sunny and warm, in some moment even to sunny for a bird photo shooting but by middle morning the arrival of few clouds covering the sun partially helped achieving some nice shots.
The captures the images below a Nikon D3s was used with a 300 mm F/4. A TC 1.4 was also used in some occasions. Camera was sitting on a Jobu gimbal , excellent product.
Raymond's workshops are definitely a great experience for anyone, pro and non, that would like to spend few hrs learning about wildlife photography.
